Thirty-eight jobs created as 32,000 sq ft scheme launches

Chairman of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Paul McNestry; Mark Spencer MP and property investment and development director, Shaun O’Brien

Centric, the 32,000 sq ft development at Sherwood Energy Village, has officially launched, creating 38 jobs and safeguarding 26 others.

The scheme, which cost £3.3m to build as was developed by CRT Property Investments, is 75% leased with five tenants already moved in.

Mark Spencer, MP for Sherwood, officially opened the site last week.

Property investment and development director for CRT Property Investments, Shaun O’Brien, said: “I would like to thank Mark for his ongoing support, he has been a real advocate of this scheme and the wider work that we are delivering in his constituency.

“Centric is a further example of what we can deliver by focusing on the regeneration of areas that traditional developers would avoid. Not only are we creating opportunities during the build phase but we are creating a lasting legacy for generations to come.

“As well as bringing business units that can be accessed by local companies and those that are looking to take the next step into larger commercial and industrial premises, we can encourage inward investment which is lacking in our communities.”
