Plans for major Nottingham residential scheme tipped for approval

Where the new houses will be built

Plans for 278 houses on a disused playing field in Clifton, Nottingham, have been tipped for the green light by Nottingham City Council planning bosses.

The Planning Design Group on behalf of Nottingham City Council and Nottingham Trent University has submitted plans for the development, called Clifton West, on a 9,6ha field between Clifton Wood and Yew Tree Lane.

Around 60 local residents responded to the planning application, most of them worried about the impact of more housing in the area and its impact on local amenities.

Nottingham City Council’s Planning Committee will sit next Wednesday (19 December) to vote on the proposal.
