Two firms of Nottingham printers have merged in a deal the companies say will cause “creative excitement” in the city.

John E Wright has merged with Instaprint and invested in new printing machinery.

Tony Barnett, managing director at John E Wright, said: “We have taken this opportunity to combine two highly respected teams of printers in John E Wright and Instaprint under one roof so that we can achieve a genuinely creative environment for our customers with a ‘can-do’ and helpful attitude at an affordable price.

Together with the large and grand format operation based on Queen’s Drive, the combined operations in Nottingham will provide a full suite of digital print, signage and exhibition solutions and support over 40 jobs in the City. At a time of uncertainty, we are proud to contribute to the community with investment, jobs and local charitable support.”

To mark the merger, John E Wright has installed the new Iridesse Production Press from Xerox dealer Zerographics.

Production will be jointly managed by Jet Desai from Instaprint and Sarah Dawson from John E Wright with all staff retained from both operations.
