Law firm expands with high profile hire

West Bridgford and East Leake law firm Elvin Moore Solicitors is expanding its range of services with the appointment of specialist family lawyer, Sarah Perkins.

Partner, Austin Moore told us: “We opened our West Bridgford office 12 months ago and have established a successful conveyancing and wills and probate department; Sarah’s expertise in family law complements our individual services arm.”

He added: “West Bridgford is a thriving community among which we have seen an increasing number of calls for family law advice, so Sarah’s appointment is a natural progression for us”.

Perkins said: “Nobody wants to see a solicitor over a family law issue but if you have no alternative, speaking with an expert is essential. I bring over 15 years’ experience in areas including divorce, cohabitation, separation, children issues and financial settlements (whether married or unmarried) as well as domestic abuse, so I am well placed to help clients who are about to take that first step or those already involved in court proceedings.”

Perkins qualified in 1998 after completing her training contract in a South London firm. She subsequently returned to her hometown of Nottingham where she worked in West Bridgford before heading up a family law department in Nottingham.

She added: “I have a real passion for helping people, especially those making decisions at what is often a difficult time emotionally. My particular interest lies in the financial aspect of divorce/separation where I pride myself on giving honest and realistic advice to help clients reach agreement at the earliest opportunity.
