Stephen Smith

Leicester-based consultancy firm EMB-Group has bought Chamber Certification Assessment Services (CCAS) for an undisclosed sum.

CCAS, located in Cannock will sit alongside ACM within the EMB Group delivering accredited certification activities. Established in 1994, CCAS is a UKAS and SIA-accredited certification body that provides certification services across the UK.

Stephen Smith, chief executive of EMB-Group said: “We are delighted to confirm the acquisition of CCAS by EMB-Group. This significantly enhances our UK customer base and widens our sector coverage for clients. Operating alongside our existing global certification activities, it will provide future opportunities for clients to secure accredited certification in critical business areas such as cyber and information security, health and safety and environmental management.

Tony Brachmanski, chief executive of CCAS, said: “Both I and the team at CCAS are very proud of the business we have grown over the last 25 years. I would like to thank both them and the wider network of people with whom we have worked and I’m looking forward to working with EMB Group at Board level to continue the growth and expand the service offer further.”
