Ruddington firm in £3.5m Irish acquisition

David Hornsby stands down as chairman

Ideagen, the Ruddington safety, risk and audit software solutions provider, has bought counterpart Scannell for £3.5m.

Scannell is based in the Republic of Ireland and has approximately 100 customers including Intel, Johnson and Johnson, BT, Heineken and Coca Cola.

The company turns over around £890,000 a year and has developed a Environmental Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) platform.

David Hornsby, executive chairman of Ideagen, said: “Scannell is a valuable addition to Ideagen and is in line with our strategy of acquiring GRC businesses that have strong IP and recurring revenues. EHSQ is a fast growing market and the acquisition will significantly enhance our product and market position.”
