National pub chain swoops for Newark venue

The White Hart has been closed for some time

A national pub company has swooped for a long-empty Newark venue.

In a deal brokered by Everard Cole, Amber Taverns has added the White Hart in Newark to its portfolio of 150 UK pubs. The pub sits on the corner of Newark’s historic market place.

Everard Cole director Jon Heald said: “Despite not having traded for a few years, the White Hart is an attractive pub with enormous potential and we received terrific interest from a number of operators.”

“Amber Taverns are a very successful company who refurbish their properties to a very high standard and offer a fantastic drinks selection. We’re confident they will make the pub a great success once they re-open the business, making the White Hart a great destination in Newark.”
