Developer given green light for Derby speculative scheme

How the units will look

Developer Harworth has been granted planning permission to build a four speculative commercial units at Sinfin Commercial Park in Derby.

The scheme, which will also include 144 car parking spaces, which will be in two blocks of two and cover 87,500 sq ft, has been in the planning for two years, but has now been given the green light by Derby City Council.

The site is to the south west of Derby city centre and within the northern part of Sinfin Commercial Park, near Rolls-Royce’s manufacturing plant.

Harworth’s unit will feature a service yard and HGV loading docks.

A statement with the planning application reads: “The proposed development will make a positive contribution to the local economy, benefitting the vitality and viability of the Sinfin Commercial Park and providing jobs. “
