Road traffic collision closes M1

Motorists are being warned they will face delays this afternoon after news that the M1 southbound has been closed by The Highways Agency from Junction 23a.

All traffic is being diverted onto the A42/M42 Southbound. This is due to a serious road traffic collision on the M1 in the Northamptonshire area.

A tweet from The Highways Agency said: “We estimate that the reopening time of the M1 J15-14 will be 17:30. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
