On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Olivia Smith

Three graduates from Savills Lincoln have qualified for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) which recognises them as practising chartered surveyors.

Lincoln-based Olivia Smith, Martin Borley and Richard Milburn, who all form part of the estate management and rural professional team at the firm, are now members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Smith has a double cause for celebration as she is one of the few surveyors across the country to have passed her APC and Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) exams in close succession. Smith, who was born and raised in Lincolnshire, studied Real Estate at the University of Reading, where she specialised in Rural Real Estate in her final year. She joined Savills in 2016 on the graduate scheme.

Amanda McCabe

Geo-environmental consultancy Ivy House Environmental has hired Amanda McCabe as a waste management consultant.

Ivy House’s director, Richard Sutton, said: “I am delighted to welcome Amanda as our new Waste Management Consultant. Having previously worked in consultancy, the Environment Agency and contracting, she brings a wealth of experience to our team.

“Amanda has had to hit the ground running as we had a log-jam of waste projects towards the end of 2018. She has taken them on and is working with the EA and key stakeholders to ensure that the Environmental Permitting process runs smoothly. We look forward to developing the waste team and integrating them with the current disciplines and clients.”
