Derby firm reveals plans to move to new £20m HQ

Supply chain firm Pattonair is set to move into a huge new office and warehouse development in the city.

The move comes after Derby City Council said it will invest £19.3m in warehouse and office space at Infinity Park Derby.

The new building will be made up of an 80,000 sq ft warehouse, 15,000 sq ft of office space, with a further 30,000 sq ft of mezzanine offices within the warehouse. The Council says it has negotiated terms with the developers for the site, Infinity Park Derby LLP.

Pattonair provides distribution and supply chain management services to the aerospace and defence sectors. It employs 600 people in Derby.

Pattonair chief executive Wayne Hollinshead said: “We’re delighted to be announcing our plans for a world class aerospace campus at Infinity Park. We are keen to work alongside Derby City Council as a partner in this exciting new chapter for Pattonair, delivering world class service to our customers.

“This new site covers 9.7-acres, doubling our operational facilities and allowing us the capacity to produce more and create new jobs. Should we get the green light, we aim to be operational during 2021.”

Councillor Matthew Holmes, Cabinet Member for regeneration and public protection said: “Derby is a world leader in transport engineering, and this is a fantastic opportunity for the Council to help grow and enhance the facilities we have within the city. This investment will continue to cement our commitment to innovation and growth.”

Cabinet will be asked to approve expenditure and include the project in the regeneration capital programme on Wednesday 13th February.
