Insurance firm expands to create new role

Insurance broker Russell Scanlan has hired a new member of staff to fill a newly-created role.

The firm, which is based in Wellington Circus and employs 35 people, has appointed Olivia Whiteley as a commercial account handler covering mid-corporate insurance. She brings 13 years of industry experience to the role, which has been created as part of the firm’s plans for expansion.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Russell Scanlan, which has an excellent reputation within the industry both across the East Midlands and further afield. The company is known for being a great place to work and very encouraging towards staff – the low turnover of staff here is testament to that. The team has made me feel very welcome already and I’m looking forward to working across and developing their wide and varied client base.”
