On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Sue Blount

Sue Blount is the new general manager at Kinchbus, managing the 35-strong fleet of buses and around 100 drivers, engineers and support teams.

Blount joined Kinchbus sister company trentbarton in 2008 to train as a driver and went on to manage the bus station concourse at Derby before becoming service delivery manager first in Derby and then at Langley Mill.

Tom Morgan, director service delivery for Kinchbus and trentbarton, said: “Sue has always had a passion for developing and leading a team and is uncompromising when it comes to delivering high standards.
“The role at Kinchbus will give Sue the opportunity to excel. Kinchbus is a well-known locally run business and we’ve seen growth on a number of routes. This is a great chance for Sue to build on the current strong performance of Kinchbus, developing the network and making the most of opportunities that arise.”

Fabian Taylor

Law firm Nelsons has a new chartered financial planner following Fabian Taylor achieving chartered status qualification.

Taylor has been part of Nelsons’ investment management team, based in Nottingham, since 2015. Previously a paraplanner, he has been working towards the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (APFS) for the past five years.

He said: “Becoming a chartered financial planner is something I am extremely proud of and I am very grateful for the support I have received from Nelsons. Studying towards a qualification like the CII APFS while working full time is very challenging but my team has provided guidance, advice and the space for me to learn throughout the whole process.”
