New images released of £43m city centre living scheme

The Wullcomb

New images of a £43m Leicester city centre scheme that will create nearly 300 homes have been released.

Way of Life is building the 297-apartment Wullcomb scheme opposite the Highcross Shopping Centre on Vaughan Way.

The development will feature a shared rooftop terrace, with a wood-fired pizza oven, barbecue space and views over the city. They will be able to host a party in the building’s private dining room, relax in a library and entertain friends in the cinema room or in the welcoming shared living area The Perch.

The communal areas at the Wullcomb encourage co-working.

Way of Life says the first apartments will be available to rent from this Summer, with rents starting at £595 a month for the one- and two-bedroom flats.

Managing director Sowgol Zarinchang said: ““We’re not a management platform that offers property, we are dedicated to providing a sense of community that the customer will experience throughout their stay with us.

“We view ourselves as part of the hospitality industry and so our professional customer relationship managers will be on site at all times to help our customers with anything they need.

“Leicester is a city that is vibrant, cultural, and always has something exciting going on. We are keen to partner up with local businesses wherever the opportunity arises and directly impact the community through a cultural programme including health and well-being events and cooking demos.

“We also noticed that there was some constraint in the city’s housing supply with nothing quite like the Wullcomb available to people. There was a real gap in the market for our offering and we are excited to not only be providing somewhere to live, but a whole new lifestyle for our customers.”
