New director as recruitment firm plans UK expansion
Frontline Recruitment, which has offices in Derby, Leicester, Mansfield and Nottingham and is the headline sponsor on TheBusinessDesk.com’s East Midlands Business Masters Awards, has promoted David Essam to operations director.
Essam steps up from general manager to operations director having been with Frontline for over 11 years.
The news comes after Frontline, which has offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Hull, Mansfield and Weymouth, enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2018, with revenues topping £15m for the first time.
The company has also revealed plans to open a seventh office this year and create five jobs across its offices.
Essam said: “I’m delighted to take this step forward. I’d like to thank everyone at Frontline who have made us the recruitment partner of choice for so many companies across the UK. We have big plans for 2019 and I can’t wait get started on putting them into action so that we can all grow the company even further.”
Tony Wilmot, co-founder of Frontline Recruiment, added: “David joined us almost 12 years ago on the 16th July 2007 in an Account Manager role. I personally remember interviewing David clearly, his expertise and experience in the travel industry had provided him with many transferable skills for a career in recruitment. Particularly, I noted his passion to succeed, his gritty and professional nature backed up with an ability to empathise stood out from minute one.

Essam added: “We want to grow turnover by a further 20% this year. To do that Frontline is looking to open a new office in either the Birmingham or Northampton area.
