Amusement park to create 200 jobs

Nothants amusement centre Wicksteed Park is set to create 130 jobs from Easter, rising to 200 during the peak season.

Rather than recruiting for specific roles, Wicksteed says it will be interviewing for skill-set and personability first, then assigning candidates to the most suited role in the park.

Information gathering sessions will be held at Wicksteed Park’s pavilion in the coming weeks, but the park is urging potential candidates to apply and register their interest online first. Applications must be submitted by Friday 8th March, with interviews taking place from Saturday 9th March.

Rachel James, head of marketing at Wicksteed Park, said: “We truly believe that it’s the people that make our park and the experience memorable for our guests. We are looking for bright, charismatic team members to bring our historic park to life during peak times, and we think our new way of recruiting will really help us to achieve this.

“We also want to emphasise the fact that we can accommodate for flexible job roles. If you’re a new mum who prefers to work reduced hours, or a student that wants to fit in a job around your studies, Wicksteed Park may have just the role for you. With a number of different roles and requirements throughout the season, there really is something for every situation.”

Jobs are available in all areas of the park, including in the park’s cafes, restaurants, gift shops and kitchen. The team is also recruiting for the ride team, grounds team, activities instructors and cleaning assistants.
