Hardy rules himself out of re-launched Paragon Interiors

Alan Hardy has seemingly ruled himself out being part of a re-launched Paragon Interiors, according to an email seen by TheBusinessDesk.com.

Paragon is currently up for sale after falling into administration earlier this week.

Responding to concerns of his employees, Hardy said that he “straining every sinew” to find a buyer for Paragon and to pay staff their wages.

He said he had six hours of meetings with prospective buyers yesterday (Thursday 28 February) and has two “very strong” meetings today with interested parties.

The email continues: “Words cannot express the deep hurt, guilt and shame that I’m feeling right now. My focus, and solely my focus, is finding a buyer that provides not just February pay, but solid, long-term employment for the next five years.

“For my part, I very much doubt that I’ll be relaunching Paragon. I may be part of a new management team for a transition period – but only that.”

Leonard Curtis was appointed administrator to Paragon on Wednesday night. The firm employs over 90 people in Nottingham and Birmingham.
