On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Charles Jakeman

Charles Jakeman has joined the Nottingham office of Buckles Solicitors as a senior associate in the firm’s construction team.

Since 2004 when he qualified, Jakeman has advised clients on a regional, national and international basis across a broad range of sectors, including education, commercial, office, residential, health, leisure, housing, regeneration, retail, infrastructure and energy from waste.

Charles also advises clients on partnering agreements between the public and private sector on PFI and PPP projects, including framework agreements, ancillary contracts and interface agreements with supply chains.

“I am delighted to have joined the construction team at Buckles,” said Jakeman. “Buckles is a great firm that is growing and I look forward to playing my part in helping to build the construction team.”

Claudia Wright

West Bridgford-based creative agency The Dairy is celebrating the success of its 20-year old digital marketing apprentice Claudia Wright after she passed her Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) exams as part of her 18-month apprenticeship.

Wright joined The Dairy in September 2017 as the agency’s account junior. She has been supporting the creative agency’s client base, becoming involved in all aspects of marketing communications – from marketing strategy and planning to PR, social media and copywriting.

She said: “There’s an assumption that apprenticeships are for people that are less academic – but this is definitely not the case. Learning while you work is tough but the experience you gain from it is vital in preparing you for the working world. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and support given to me by The Dairy and I look forward to what the future holds.”
