New buyer to make Paragon Interiors ‘great again’, says Hardy

Stricken fit-out firm Paragon Interiors has been sold to an unnamed buyer, according to former owner Alan Hardy.

Hardy told TheBusinessDesk.com that the new owner will “Paragon great again.”

He said: “Further to media reports earlier today, I am delighted to confirm that there has been significant interest and I understand a substantial offer made, to buy Paragon Interiors.

“Naturally, due to the nature of the situation I am not privy to any details with regards the valuation and cannot offer further speculation.

“However, what I do know and can say with pride is that the interested party is a very credible and hugely professional organisation and has brilliant plans for the business.

“I am confident that they are exactly the right people to make this wonderful business great once again.”

In an earlier interview with the Press Association, Hardy was reported as saying about how his involvement Notts County has affected Paragon: “To say I was distracted is an understatement. You can talk about taking your eye off the ball. I took my eye off the pitch.”

Last week, Hardy ruled himself out being part of a re-launched Paragon Interiors, according to an email seen by TheBusinessDesk.com.

Leonard Curtis was appointed administrator to Paragon last week. The firm employed over 90 people in Nottingham and Birmingham.

Meawhile, Hardy also told the Press Association that a deal to sell Notts County would be wrapped up within a month. Two parties have registered their interest. Hardy said the new owners have it what it takes to get the club to the Championship.
