A46 closed in both directions after ‘serious’ collision

The A46 in Nottinghamshire is closed in both directions, due to a serious collision involving multiple vehicles between the A617 (Cattle Market roundabout) and the A1 near Newark-on-Trent.

Highways England says road users wishing to continue their journey northbound are advised to exit the A46 Cattle Market roundabout, exit on to the A616 northbound. At the roundabout in South Muskham, continue north on the B6325 until the A1. Travel southbound on the A1 to re-join the A46.

Road users wishing to continue their journey southbound are advised to follow the above, but in reverse.
