New partner at Nottingham accountancy firm

Andrew Timms

The Nottingham office of accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young appointed a new partner.

Andrew Timms – who has more than 20 years’ audit experience – has joined UHY from PKF Cooper Parry, where he spent more than 11 years as a partner. He previously spent almost seven years at ‘big four’ accountancy firm Deloitte as a senior manager, and four years as an audit trainee at Page Kirk.

Timms, who is also a board member at Nottingham Contemporary, said: “I am delighted to have joined UHY’s Nottingham office. We feel there is a gap in the region for straight-forward and value for money advice.

“The UHY team is perfectly positioned to deliver that and I look forward to helping to get our message out there and helping to cement our position as one of the city’s leading accountancy practices.”

Simon Browning, partner in charge of UHY Hacker Young’s Nottingham office, added: “We are delighted to have Andrew on board. He has a wealth of experience in dealing with family and owner-managed businesses, an area we have always been devoted to and will continue to grow, and is perfectly suited to add real value to UHY’s clients. I have no doubt he will be a major asset to the team here in Nottingham.”
