‘Severe’ delays on M1 following collision

Highways England is reporting severe delays on the M1 southbound in Nottinghamshire due to a traffic collision, which is closing three (of four) lanes between J25 (A52) and J24A (A50).

A HGV and two cars were involved, and the agency’s traffic officers are on scene along with vehicle recovery.

Nottinghamshire Police did initially attend, but have now left scene.

There is at least 60 minutes additional travel time through this section, with delays back to J26 (Nottingham). Road users should consider using another route if at all possible.
