On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Kettering-based CFW Chartered Accountants has appointed a new equity partner and associate partner.

Kim Parry has become the firm’s latest equity partner and Karl Hobbins is appointed as an associate partner.

Parry said: “Being an equity partner is an important next step for me. I’m looking forward to taking a more proactive role in 2019, developing our staff team and the services we offer. I’m delighted to see Karl appointed as Associate Partner too.”

CFW managing partner, Anthony Stevens, csaid “We see many SMEs that don’t have a business succession plan in place so we know how crucial it is to encourage staff members to take up more senior positions as part of a plan to develop a sustainable business. Our congratulations to both Kim and Karl.”

Ian Boyd

Nottingham-based charity, Notts County Football in the Community, has unveiled new chief executive Ian Boyd as the charity celebrates its 30th year in operation.

Boyd joins Football in the Community with a background in youth, community and sports development – having previously worked across the UK as youth projects manager at City YMCA London, youth programmes manager within Scotland-based Columba 1400 and area manager central at Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

He said: “This year the charity celebrates a fantastic milestone and throughout its 30 years in operation, Football in the Community has changed the lives of many people across Nottinghamshire and established itself as a reputable local community organisation.

“Our long-term aim is to provide high quality, accessible, life changing opportunities through sport and physical activity – improving people’s health, education, confidence and skills, increasing positive behaviours and bringing enjoyment to the people we support.”
