Derby firm which offers ‘office of the future’ to double size of HQ

Inside the new Innovation Centre

Derby-based supplier of office technology solutions and services, Document Network Services, has announced plans to expand its Innovation Centre facilities in Pride Park.

The DNS Innovation Centre, which is near The Derby Velodrome and iPro Stadium, is the first of its kind in the UK outside Xerox’s European Innovation Centre in Uxbridge.

It brings together cutting-edge touchscreen technology, a unique interactive boardroom table and several “discovery areas” to showcase some of the latest technology and provide visitors with a first-hand experience of ‘the office of the future’.

Managing director, Darren Marsh, said: “Our offices have been based on Pride Park for over 20 years and during this time we have grown and expanded into new markets. In 2015, we launched our Innovation Centre in a separate location on Pride Park, a short distance from our main office.

“The expansion of our Innovation Centre will allow us to re-unite our entire team within a single, central hub – which in turn will help us to improve the quality of the services that we deliver to our clients.”

The new Innovation Centre will be an expansion of the existing facility – doubling in size to introduce a new discovery area, IT support helpdesk and new office working spaces. Building work is already underway and the new Innovation Centre is due to launch in April 2019.

James Willow, managing director at Butler & Willow – which is managing the build – said: “We supported Document Network Services with the build of their Innovation Centre back in 2015. We’re pleased to be working with them again to support with the expansion of their existing facilities into the vacant neighbouring unit. I’m positive that this move will be one that will help DNS continue to grow.”
