Derbyshire freight company wound up

A Derbyshire freight company has been wound up after suffering cash flow difficulties.

Four jobs have been lost at Barlborough-based Britannica Limited, which has called in admistrators from Nottingham-based Bridgewood.

Louise Freeston, administrator, told TheBusinessDesk.com: “The company had made all employees redundant before administration. The business also ceased to trade before appointment.

“The company’s main customer drastically reduced the level of work provided in the period leading to our appointment and this coupled with the company’s high level of ongoing finance costs, resulted in significant cash flow difficulties which left the company with no alternative other than to cease to trade.”

The firm had been trading since 1998.
