Dr Martens owner mulls sale or float

The private equity owner of Northampton-based Dr Martens could sell or float the famous shoemaker, according to reports.

Sky News says that Permira is reviewing its options for Dr Martens, six years after buyint it for £300m.

Sky News says Permira could float the company on the US Stock Exchange or sell the firm on.

Dr Martens has undergone a renaissance under Permira, with double digit growth in both profit and sales in its most recent results to the end of March 2018.

Reports suggest bankers could be appointed to oversee a sale or float before the summer.
