Europe’s largest education union expands Nottingham presence

The NEU's new office and training space

Europe’s largest education union has expanded its Nottingham presence after taking a 6,000 sq ft office building in the city.

The National Education Union, the trade union for school teachers, further education lecturers, education support staff and teaching assistants, has bought 4 Phoenix Business Park.

The union will use the building for office space and training.

The deal was brokered by Mark Tomlinson of FHP Property Consulting. He said: “Phoenix Business Park remains one of Nottinghamshire’s best performing business parks given its connectivity to the motorway network and it’s accessibility via public transport, with the tram and park and ride services located on the park. The accessibility of 4 Phoenix Place was very important to NEU and I am delighted that we have now completed this deal.

“The out of town office market in Nottinghamshire continues to perform well with high occupancy levels on many of Nottingham’s business parks following strong take up over the last few years. There is now close to full occupancy at Junction 26 of the M1 motorway following a string of transactions at Phoenix Business Park and Nottingham Business Park.”
