Council makes £3.8m swoop for retail units

Harborough District Council’s vehicle for buying up property has acquired a town centre mixed-use portfolio for £3.8m.

Harborough District Commercial Services has bought a Tesco Metro Store and B&M retail units along with residential space at 10 The Commons and 19/21 The Square in the Leicestershire town of Market Harborough.

Retail property consultants Space advised Harborough District Commercial Services on the deal as part of an ongoing agreement between the two organisations.
