Two new offices for professional services firm

Human resources and employment law firm Amica has revealed its expansion plan.

Lincoln-headquartered Amica HR and its sister business Amica Legal has opened two new offices taking its total to four.

The news follows the launch of its London office late last year.

Directors David Grech and Suzanne Tricker said launching a base in Great Portland Street is proving to be a sound move, but now they are expanding north, with another office that will serve its clients in the Humber area and Yorkshire.

“Our London office is doing really well. For example, one of our HR clients, who took one of our smaller HR packages has now fully-outsourced his personnel requirement to us, which is fantastic,” said Grech.

“Because our HR professional in that office, Julie Greaves, is also a qualified leadership coach, it means we can also offer another valuable service to business owners and managers.

“With that office established, and the fact that we are getting an increasing number of referrals from firms in the Hull area interested in out-sourcing their HR needs, as members of the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, we decided to open an office serving Yorkshire and the Humber area.

“That has led us to taking space in the Melton Business Park in North Ferriby, which is a managed workspace complex. From there we can easily service clients in the Hull area and enjoy easy roads access to Leeds, Doncaster and Sheffield.”

Director Suzanne Tricker said: “As we have stated in the past, we are committed to keeping our Head Office in Lincoln – currently within the Think Tank in Ruston Way – but the interest in our sister business HR Legal’s services has led us to relocate it into its own office.”

Amica Legal now has its own dedicated office in the Sparkhouse Studios building, on the University of Lincoln campus.

Led by head of legal services and employment lawyer Lucy Stones, it helps firms which may have an employment dispute, allowing them to limit any risk of litigation.

Stones said: “The beauty of Amica Legal having its own office – just a stone’s throw from Amica’s head office – is that we can talk privately to firms needing a one-off service or I can join our directors at our head office to chat to potential clients requiring a fully comprehensive out-sourced HR and legal service.”
