A46 closed after ‘serious’ collision

The A46 in Nottinghamshire is closed southbound between the A1133 and the A1 near Newark-on-Trent due to a serious collision.

Highways England says emergency services are on scene.

Road users travelling southbound are advised to follow the below diversion:
From the A46(T) Winthorpe junction, take the first exit onto Drove Lane and head south-east for 2.1km.

At the crossroads at the end of Drove Lane, turn right onto the A17 and follow for 1.5km.
Continue straight over the first roundabout, then rejoin the A46(T) at the A46/A1/A17 Newark junction.
