Land deal could bring 76 homes to West Bridgford

A Rushcliffe Borough Council-owned depot in the affluent Nottingham suburb of West Bridgford up for sale.

A planning application has been submitted for the demolition of the site’s existing buildings and the construction of up to 76 new homes.

The site has been used as a recycling depot for the past four decades, but the service has now relocated to Eastcroft depot close to Nottingham’s London Road.

Buyers have until noon on Wednesday 19th June to submit offers for the 4.7 acre site which is situated half a mile from West Bridgford’s town centre and three miles outside of Nottingham.

Ann Taylor, development director at Savills Nottingham, said: “The redevelopment of the Abbey Road depot will create an exciting new community in the highly regarded neighbourhood of West Bridgford. The scheme will aim to provide high quality modern homes and open space to create a fully integrated new community within walking distance of West Bridgford town centre.
