Major housing scheme nears completion

How the new homes will look

A major new housing development in Nottingham is nearing completion, according to developers.

A total of 346 homes are being built on the former Land Registry site off Chalfont Drive in a joint scheme by Bellway and Ashberry Homes.

Bellway has started work on the final homes at its Liberty development, which occupies the eastern part of the site, while the last plots are under construction at Ashberry Homes’ The Limes development next door.

A number of derelict buildings previously occupied by the Land Registry, which vacated the site in 2015, were demolished to make way for the new homes.

The new development includes a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes and a central area of public open space including trees, a pond and play area.

Carolyne Watkinson, sales director for Bellway East Midlands, said: “We are proud to have been involved in the regeneration of this derelict brownfield site into an attractive new neighbourhood.

“Liberty has provided a range of much-needed new homes in a peaceful setting just two miles from the centre of Nottingham and we are looking forward to putting the finishing touches to the development.”
