On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Paul Southby

Nottingham cinema Broadway has appointed well-known business leader Paul Southby as its new chair.

Southby will be taking over from the outgoing Fred Brookes. He is a lawyer at Geldards and also chairman of Marketing NG.

Southby said: “I am excited to join the team at Broadway, which I have always seen not only as the beating heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market area and a pivotal component in the city’s cultural offer, but also as a cultural asset of national importance. I look forward to working with all the team and supporting Broadway through the next phase of its development and beyond.”

Zoe Rutherford and Tom Walters

Nottingham-based charity, Notts County Football in the Community (FITC), has appointed two new trustees of the board – Tom Walters and Dr Zoe Rutherford.

Walters is an account manager for West Bridgford-based creative agency The Dairy.

Rutherford, a principal lecturer in physical activity, exercise and health at Leeds Beckett University, works with organisations to use research to improve quality and maximise impact.

New chief executive Ian Boyd said: “These new trustee appointments are key milestones in making sure we utilise the experience of both Tom and Zoe who bring a wealth of knowledge within their respective areas. This sets the foundations from the top down for us to maintain our growth over the coming years and continue to change the lives of people locally.”
