East Midlands business leaders recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours List

Business figures from across the East Midlands have been recognised in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019.

Arnab Dutt, the well-know Leicestershire businessman, is an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to SMEs, diversity and equality.

Elaine Lilley, the former chief executive of the Lincolnshire and Rutland Education Business Partnership, is a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to improving links between education and business.

Meanwhile, Maria Coulter, better known as The Construction Coach, receives a British Empire Medal for services to diversity and inclusion in the construction industry.

Coulter said: “I’m so incredibly honoured to receive this and it spurs me on to do everything I can to promote a built environment where everyone can be themselves

“Thanks to everyone who’s supported me on my journey so far including the Construction Industry Council for the opportunity to be a NED for them and chair their diversity and inclusion panel.

“I’m also part of some amazing groups of women supporting each other in our industry.”

In total 1,073 people have received an award.
