Delays of an hour on M1

The M1 currently has delays of at least 60 minutes from J21A to J22, covering several miles of the northbound carriageway.

The delays are due to HGV recovery with 2 lanes (of 3) closed and Highways England says it has resources deployed working hard to restore normal conditions as soon as possible.

A statement from Highways England said: “For traffic approaching the delays locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and you may wish to re-route or delay your journey.”
