Lace Market building turned into 10,000 sq ft office space

A former Nottingham College building in the Lace Market area of the city has been turned into 10,000 sq ft of office space.

1 Broadway is being marketed by FHP Property Consultants, which promises “open plan floor plates with a stripped-back feel of an old lace mill”.

Thomas Szymkiw, part of FHP’s Office Agency department, said: “It is a pleasure to be involved in what is such a great building in the Lace Market – an area that in recent times has lost some of its key office buildings to residential conversion.

“Due to a lack of supply, demand for good quality office space in this locality is strong – which coupled with strong rental values, means there is now real appetite amongst building owners to undertake these kind of refurbishment schemes.

“It is testament to this as we already have four of the suites under offer and only three remaining – which I don’t think will be available for long.”
