On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Rothera Sharp has expanded its transport law team with the appointment of solicitor Chris Powell and paralegals Jasmine Jackson and Beth Clayton.

Powell’s experience includes advising and representing haulage and PSV operator licence holders across the UK and Europe in regards to Public Inquiries before the Traffic Commissioner, Operator licence regulatory compliance and driver conduct hearings, amongst other areas. He also has particular experience in acting for large European hauliers and transport undertakings on cross border matters.

Chris Webb

ThinCats, the fintech lender to SMEs, has appoinred Chris Webb as a director of business development for the Midlands region.

He will be based between the company’s Birmingham office and the head office in Ashby.

Webb brings over 30 years of experience supporting business funding needs, joining the business from Santander UK, where he most recently held the role of head of asset finance (Midlands).

He said: “I am delighted to be joining such a dynamic alternative finance provider, with a team of people who are passionate about supporting businesses growth aspirations across all sectors with innovative funding structures”.
