Nottingham-based executive recruitment firm Forsyth Barnes is to create jobs in the city this year – and open a new US office.

The firm, which specialises in placing CEO and CFO level executives in roles that typically pay between £50,000 and £250,000 a year for permanent roles and £500 to £2,000 a day for temporary consultants, opened it Nottingham office in 2017, after founder Scott Parsons returned to his native city from London – where he sent up the company in 2015.

Forsyth Barnes now has plans to grow its team of 28 to 40 by the end of the year and open a US office in New York.

Parsons said: “I was out in New York last week looking at offices. Our plan is to employ a mixture of UK and local staff at the office, which will officially launch in June 2020. We’ll be looking to service the East coast of the US initially.”

Parsons say that his company is also seeing its workload increase on the continent and in Australia.

He also revealed that Forsyth Barnes paid out a record £82,000 in commission last month and has recently undergone a restructure which has seen managers Graham Hutchison, Stephen Reece and Grant Hutchison all promoted.
