Former bar to be transformed into serviced offices

The Old Post Office

Staton Young Group has been given the green light to transform the former Bar Soba premises in Derby into serviced offices.

The Old Post Office building on Victoria Street will include 20,000 sq ft of the Cubo serviced office brand.

Heather Needham, commercial director, said: “Cubo is a new brand which allows us to bring our expertise on serviced offices and expand it into the new modern way of working.

“Cubo will not just be offering private office space, but also hot desks and designated desks. The huge communal area will have a massive wow factor, boasting comfortable areas to work from rather than formal desk space, you will also be able enjoy a coffee from their in-house barista, or even a beer from draft. There will be a gym, wellness room and games room, with the building allowing its tenants 24 hours access; hopefully they will not want to leave”

Rebecca Brough, managing director, said: “We are delighted to be once again investing in Derby, bringing something the region hasn’t seen before. We have vast experience in serviced office space and are excited to be taking it to the next level. We have plans for further expansion to take Cubo across the Midlands and beyond.”
