Legal team behind Notts County deal revealed

Chris Radford

The legal team which worked on the deal to finally sell Notts County to Danish investors late last week has been revealed.

The Nottingham office of Gateley Legal advised on sale of the Magpies, which saw Alan Hardy exit the club and a Danish consortium led by brothers Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz.

Gateley Legal’s restructuring partner Chris Radford led on the deal with support from corporate partner Beth Mather and corporate solicitor Charlie Scott.

Radford said: “We have an excellent relationship with the club and this deal is testament to the hard work of everyone involved. I’m proud of the part we’ve played in preserving the status of Notts County as the world’s oldest professional football club and wish the new owners a successful future.

“This was a complicated restructuring deal, which involved many different parties. We worked collaboratively with the client to find the best deal for the club and its supporters.”
