Lincoln Sausage Festival

1. Caves Festival
Date: Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd October
Location: Old Market Square, Nottingham
Discover the hidden world beneath Nottingham’s streets at the city’s first Caves festival, which will see a range of events taking place across the city from live music and special tours to interactive storytelling activities.

The Old Market Square will also be transformed into a cave festival hub, providing visitors with insight into the history of Nottingham’s secret cave network, with some of the caves dating back to medieval times.

2. Bavarian Night
Date: Friday 21st – Sunday 22nd October
Location: Conkers, Swadlincote, Leicestershire

One of the most entertaining and exciting Bavarian Oompah bands in the UK, Karl’s Bavarian Brass are set to perform this weekend, recreating the atmosphere of the Germany’s famous Oktoberfest. The adult-only event will be open until late and includes a hot supper too.

3. Lincoln Sausage Festival
Date: Saturday 22nd October
Location: Castle Hill, Lincoln

Celebrate all things sausage, including the famous Lincolnshire sausage, at the Lincoln Sausage Festival this weekend with cooking demonstrations, food stalls selling the finest Lincolnshire produce, children’s entertainment, live music, circus skills, face painting and much more.

Lincoln Castle and Castle Square itself will be filled with stalls selling all types of produce and of course there will be an abundance of Lincolnshire Sausages on offer for people to buy and eat on the day or take away and enjoy at home.

4. Giles October Fair
Date: Saturday 22nd October
Location: Great Hall, Guildhall, Northampton

Shoppers and visitors will be in for a treat this Saturday as the Giles October fair offers up a selection of Northampton’s finest local businesses all under one roof. As in previous years, the stalls will be run by local traders offering a wide selection of products and services, from clothing and jewellery to locally produced food and drink.

5. Mini Maker Fair
Date: Saturday 22nd October
Location: Silk Mill, Derby
Derby’s Mini Maker Fair is celebrating art and crafts with its fifth annual event this weekend. This year’s fair is set to be the largest yet, with an even bigger Maker Showcase area on Cathedral Green, more Makers than ever before to meet and a full programme of workshops and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
