Nottingham Street Food Club location revealed

A new addition to Nottingham’s food and drink scene has revealed its location in the city.

Nottingham Street Food Club has announced that it will open a brand new independent indoor street food market at intu Victoria Centre before the summer.

The 150-seater venue will feature four hot food stalls and a bar, all manned by local independent traders.

Nathanial Wilson, who runs the Club, said: “I’m really pleased to be able to reveal that the new indoor street food market will be located at intu Victoria Centre; it’s the perfect location for us and will give a number of really talented Nottingham-based traders the opportunity to showcase what they do to a really big audience.

“The ethos of the market will be that we will be able to incubate and rotate small businesses throughout the course of the year, allowing the people of Nottingham to eat global but dine local. We have so many amazing independent traders here and this will give them the perfect platform to expand what they are already doing so well.”

The Street Food Club will be located on the upper mall of Clocktower dining at intu Victoria Centre and is expected to open this spring.

Nigel Wheatley, general manager for intu in Nottingham, said: “This is going to be an absolutely fantastic addition not only to the centre but to Nottingham as a whole. The street food scene is growing; we’ve seen first-hand just how popular the Homeboys truck has been when it’s been here, so we can’t wait for the Street Food Club to arrive.

“We are hugely supportive of independent retailers and are really excited to see the different cuisines that are going to be on offer at the venue throughout the year.”

Initially the market will open Friday to Sunday from noon to 11.30pm, but Wilson is expecting strong demand and hopes to be able to open seven days a week before the end of the year.

He added: “The street food scene in Nottingham is growing all the time and I know that this is going to be really popular – so hopefully it won’t be long before we’re opening full time, that’s the aim.”
