On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Greg Simpson (being strangled) and Lucy Capaldo

Nottingham-based Press For Attention PR has hired a new B2C PR consultant.

Lucy Capaldo joins the agency to establish a dedicated B2C division and to help Press for Attention in its target of telling 2,020 stories by 2020.

Press For Attention PR managing director Greg Simpson said;

“I set up this agency as I was frustrated with the traditional approach of so many others which seem hell bent on the smoke and mirrors approach to PR. It confuses the customer and I wanted to change that. I passionately believe that any business, of any size should be able to tell their story and to access PR, whether that is through us directly or by using our resources, training and coaching. It should be as easy as walking into a shop buying a phone or topping up your credits.

“That is why I launched #PR2020VISION and Lucy buys into this mindset. We’ve worked together before and whilst I and the agency have always focused on B2B, Lucy’s career has always been more B2C. By bringing Lucy in, we can offer our products and services to a wider market and help so many more businesses to access PR support.

Capaldo most recently she worked for Boots International, helping to launch beauty brands into new international markets.

Capaldo said: “Greg and I worked together ten years ago and we have always kept in touch. The timing was perfect for us to work together again as Greg needed consumer expertise and his new business acumen is second to none. I love the #PR2020VISION concept as there are so many businesses that can benefit from PR support and I’m really looking forward to working with Greg again.”
