ASG Money breathes new life into Wharfedale Grange’s events venue development

Wharfedale Grange is a stunning new redevelopment of four barns that are being transformed into a farmhouse – luxe, romantic – industrialist paradise! The venue is located between Leeds and Harrogate with breath-taking panoramic views. Couples have come from all over the world, travelling from as far afield as Sweden, Dubai and even Essex to have their wedding in this highly sought-after location.

Demand for events at Wharfedale Grange has continued to grow, but as the business could only operate under Temporary Events Licenses and there was a limit to only 15 events per year, they were forced to turn away business due to the license restrictions. Owner and Managing Director Claire Thomas needed this restriction removing in order to grow her business. The required plans were drawn up in order to hold more events throughout the year.

However, despite having a proven business model, Claire’s attempts to finance the development through traditional high street lenders was unsuccessful due to her business being seen as a start-up. Her accountant put Claire in contact with ASG Money, where Deal Maker Gary Macnair immediately saw the potential of the business. When the finance package was granted, progress at Wharfedale Grange could finally move forward.

Lyndon Campbell, partner in Bevan Brittan’s Leeds office who advised ASG Money, said: “We were delighted to continue our relationship with A Shade Greener, and advise ASG Money on this deal. It’s an exciting development that looks set to take Wharfedale Grange into a new phase of its business.”

Manjit Virdee, from Schofield Sweeney who advised Wharfedale Grange said: “The development of Wharfedale Grange will be a real asset to the area. The team behind the business have worked so hard to make this happen. It was a pleasure to advise them and we look forward to seeing the venue grow in the coming years.”

Claire Thomas, owner of Wharfedale Grange said: “Thanks to the foresight of ASG Money, we could start breathing new life into the old farm buildings and creating what it sure to be Yorkshire’s premier wedding and events venue. Completion is due early 2018 and our launch in April is already in the planning stages?there’s nothing like it in Yorkshire, let alone between Leeds and Harrogate, it’s going to be a very special place indeed.”
