Electronics research and development group secures major orders

Leicester based BPC Electronics has secured R&D and manufacturing business valued at £2m over the next 12 months.

The company, which specialises in aircraft hardware and entertainments’ systems software technologies, is based on Gorse Hill Industrial Estate in Beaumont Leys, Leicester, and employs 44 people.

Recent projects have included a state-of-the-art digital download jukebox and an offshore helipad lighting system for oil rigs. Other Group activities include the manufacture and design of dust extraction systems, digital entertainment systems and sound systems.

“As manufacturers in specialist industrial and technology sectors we’ve developed a range of skills that meet the demanding nature of R&D and niche electronics, such as those required in the aircraft industry and entertainments’ software and hardware markets,” explains Group Operations Director Scott Williams.

 

Recent developments have included in-house TV advertising for bars, pubs, restaurants and holiday park clients, as well as online download of jukebox tracks, cashless payment and virtual jukebox technology.

“Our approach to R&D means Involving personnel and suppliers at all levels in the planning and achievement of product quality and continuous improvement,” adds Scott.

The latest successes include orders for digital jukebox technology.
