The event, as well as offering an opportunity for networking, will be themed around the opportunities and challenges for SMEs looking to grow in these fast moving times. Our expert panel will share their thoughts and experiences gleaned from their many years of successfully growing businesses.

The discussion is being chaired by Michael Ribbeck, North West editor of TheBusinessDesk.com.

The panellists are:

Joy Kingsley – senior partner at JMW will share her experiences of growing JMW into one of Manchester’s largest independent law firms with a staff of more than 500.

David Byrne – chief financial officer at Converge Technology Specialists, works with business of all shapes and sizes across the North West. Prior to joining the cloud computing specialist he was a director in PWC’s corporate finance team.

Ged Rooney – Director at Bardsley Construction, has been a key player in the development of the multi-award winning building firm.

Steve Trainor – executive director at procurement consultant Odesma Outsourced. Steve founded Odesma in 2014 alongside Nick Ford and Ed Cross. Odesma offers procurement as a service by bringing together subject matter expertise, technology, governance and leadership that is tailored to the needs of the organisation.
