Germany may go into recession

There is an increasing likelihood that Germany may sink into recession in the second half of this year.
Europe's largest economy has this week been faced by reports of declines in manufacturing orders, industrial output, imports and exports.
The Economy Ministry said today that these figures and a sharp drop-off in business sentiment showed there were significant risks to Germany's outlook.
Its GDP figures for the second quarter of the year are announced next Tuesday and although they are expected to show growth of around 0.2% economists are saying that the danger of recession in the second half of the year is growing.
