KPMG's three offices across the North West - in Manchester, Liverpool and Preston - are part of a global network of professional firms providing Audit, Tax, and Advisory services.

What we do...

Alongside our audit and tax services, we also advise companies on business critical issues such as cash management and rapid cost reduction, debt and working capital, liquidity issues and risk.

• We audit more businesses than any other firm in the region, and in 2008, were named ‘Auditor of the Year' in the ‘Big 4' category at the Real FD/CBI Finance Directors' Excellence Awards.
  
• Despite a global slump in corporate M&A activity, our Corporate Finance and Transaction Services teams completed a total of seven deals in the first ten weeks of 2009, demonstrating that good advisors can still get deals done, even in the most testing of conditions. The fact that our Corporate Finance team was in 2008 named North West Business Insider 'Corporate Finance Team of the Year' is a testament to the great work they do.
  
• Our Restructuring practice has seen terrific growth over the course of the last 12 months. Working alongside lenders, stakeholders and all levels of management, our professionals plan and deliver restructuring actions that provide real improvements to cash flow, profit & loss and the corporate balance sheet. They have also worked on high-profile administrations across the region such as that of Original Shoe Company and Qube, and Hurstwood Developments.
  
• In March 2009, KPMG was named the ‘Best Big Company to Work For' in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Companies awards, for an unprecedented third time. It is the second successive year that KPMG has won the award, with the firm coming in the top three every year since the Big Company category was created in 2005.
