Liverpool’s Days Inn hotel opens

THE new 154-bed Days Inn hotel in Liverpool is set to open its doors on James Street in the city’s commercial quarter today.

The three-star hotel has been built next door to the James Street station on all five floors of Moor House – a building which was previously occupied by Ministry of Defence.

The venue will be operated by Liverpool-based Sanguine Hospitality, which said that it had already secured forward bookings of around £400,000 and is almost fully let for the Grand National and Mathew Street Festival weekends.

General manager, Paris D’Allessandro, said the hotel hopes to attract tourists looking for short, affordable stays in an up and coming area of the city as well as commuters.

He said: “Days Inn Liverpool, which is an exciting new concept to the city, is in a prime location in the heart of the commercial district where there is already a great deal of improvement work underway.
