THE company behind the ‘new football pools’ said it is looking forward to the new season kicking off after revealing a hike in profits.

Football gaming firm Sportech said in the six months to June 30 pre-tax profits increased by 4% to £5.1m.

It has been a busy six months for the group which has been reorganising its proposition and ‘modernising’ it football pools business.
